Hey everyone!

So it is time for us to have a little chat. I have decided to take a hiatus of about 7 months. There are a number of reasons for this, and I think that it is only fair to share them really quickly with you.

The first, and biggest reason is that I am not happy with the quality of Pointe East lately. I have never been one hundred percent happy with the over all look of the comic, but I figured that I would get better with every passing day and I should just go for it. While it is true that my stuff has greatly improved over the last nine or so months, it seems like my art has reached a plateau for the last 4 months. To me, what this plateau means is that it is time for me to spend some time developing and experimenting some other ways of doing things, BUT this leads to the next reason…

…I am insanely busy. I know that this sounds like a load, but I am a full time student, and I work full time, and I have recently begun working on another project, and Pointe East has taken a back seat. This is a problem because, in a lot of ways, by the time I get to Pointe East, it is more a burden then a fun release…

…And that of course is the last reason. Starting this comic was supposed to be fun, and to be good, it needs to have a nice light hearted quality that only happens WHEN I am having fun.

But don’t dispair, fair reader! I have EVERY intention of coming back and at least solving all of the dangling plot lines that I have sown into the story, AND I will be posting my (almost) weekly strip, Something Like A War, here. These will be posted on Sundays, and will be at least a week behind their appearance’s at Motorcityblog.net. Also, as I play around with some stuff, I will be dropping some random experimental comics here from time to time. (There will be no schedule to these, but I will post updates on twitter and on facebook whenever I put them up here so keep an eye out.)

Finally I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been reading and enjoying the comic, your support and encouragement has been the very best part of doing this comic, and I hope to see you all back here September 6th!
